Dennis and Darlene were an absolute to joy to be with. I could tell the instant we met that they were madly in love with other. The days leading up to the wedding, I was speaking frequently with Darlene to ensure everything would go according to plan. Everyone gets nervous at their wedding. Their nervousness turns into excitement and excitement turns into absolute wonder. They were married at The Church at Bethel's Family and the reception was at the India House.

Modeling session with Joseline C. in her pink dress at my satellite studio in Houston, TX

We originally were going to shoot outdoors but the weather was too cold for the outfits Jos brought so we opted to shoot on the 21st floor of a vacant condo. I'm seriously thinking about turning it into a studio.  

For this session, I used a basic two light setup. The Nikon D300's ISO was set at 100. At first, I tried to use the natural light coming from the large windows but had to resort to a speed light through a 45" umbrella for the main light. I metered the light for ƒ5.6 at 1/250th of a second. The  fill light was metered at -1 stop from the main light. I used the SB-800 through a 45" umbrella for the fill light.

The long wait and unfortunate circumstances leading up to Darlene's bridal session was well worth it. I won't go into details on what exactly happened, but we had to reschedule twice. I was really looking forward to the 1st two times we were supposed to shoot. But what's the saying? "The third time is the charm!" Darlene wanted to play it safe so we did the session at Event Luxe in The Heights.

Darlene's wedding was February 12, 2012. It's safe to share her portraits because her husband, Dennis, is net savvy.

Nicole was so excited to take her bridals. She wanted to look her best for Chris. I remember the conversations leading up to her portrait session so vividly. She didn't have a clue what to do. I assured her over and over that everything would be ok. All she had to do was show up relaxed and ready to take on the world. Boy! Was she ready. Our bridal session went great! We were able to pull off some awesome pictures at Hermann Park. 

Now the wedding is over, I can finally show off how beautiful Nicole is.

Chris and Nicole's engagement session in Houston, TX was awesome. We started out at the Waterwall in the Galleria, then finished up at Herman Park in the museum district.
